Silk

Silk is an animal fibre, especially from the silkworm, the bombyx. The worm produces the cocoon, which takes about 10 days to weave. The cocoon is collected and smothered in an oven. It is then boiled. Only then can the thread be unwound. About ten threads will be joined together because a single thread would be too thin. After a few steps will be done before weaving.

Silk is a material that can be woven a hundred ways. Silk is translucent and transparent. There are several techniques for painting on silk.

You can wear silk anytime, casual or chic. The more you wear it, the less you can do without it, for young adults and all age groups.
