Soierie Huo is a company operating in Quebec. This policy applies to personal information in our possession or control, including information that we have shared with third parties for storage or processing purposes. However, this policy does not apply to third parties with whom we invite you to communicate, for example, through our website.

Access to your personal information within the Company does not require your consent, but is strictly limited to those persons for whom the information is necessary for the performance of their duties. Unauthorized access or disclosure of personal information by an employee is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action. 

 We may also share your personal information, without your consent, with our agents, mandataries, consultants, data managers and other service providers if the information is necessary to fulfill their mandate or service contract. In all cases, your personal information will be used to provide specific services and will be kept confidential in accordance with this policy. Please note that if a third party to whom we transfer personal information about you is operating in a foreign jurisdiction, local law may permit third parties to otherwise access your personal information without your consent.

We have implemented a series of security safeguards that are reasonable, given the sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it is to be used, the amount, distribution and medium of the information, to protect your personal information against loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use and modification. These security measures include :

  • physical measures, such as the use of fireproof vaults, locked cabinets and monitored access to our facilities;
  • administrative measures, such as the assignment of staff day and night and restricted access to sensitive areas;
  • technological measures, such as the use of a secure network and servers to transfer and store electronic data, as well as the use of passwords and anti-virus software that is continuously updated.

We are also putting in place the necessary measures to ensure that all our managers and employees are informed about the content of this policy and that they comply with it at all times. We also recognize the importance of keeping personal information accurate, complete and up-to-date, and take reasonable steps to ensure that the information used and disclosed is accurate and up-to-date. However, you are responsible for informing us of any significant changes to your personal information that may occur during the course of our business relationship. We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, to meet legal retention requirements and for as long as necessary to protect our legitimate business interests.

 

4 - Access and rectification requests

You have the right to request access or obtain a copy of your personal information held by us. You may also request that personal information be corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal, or if its collection, disclosure or retention is not authorized by law.
